The headline above is not exactly how it was reported in the mainstream media. Apparently a ‘young raging son’ battered a naked man because the ‘naked man’ was having sex with his mother while his dad was away on work. No mention of his colour, ethnicity, religion or motivation. It was a simple case of young man who got angry. ‘The raging son’ is quoted as saying “what would you have done?” and “this guy was sleeping with my mother”. The ‘young angry son’ was clearly embarrassed by the situation and felt that his mother was behaving inappropriately.
An honour killing is the murder of an individual, due to the perpetrators’ belief that the victim has brought shame or dishonour upon the family or community.
I am sure if this ‘young angry man’ was brown, Pakistani (Asian) or Muslim the headline an coverage of this horrific event would have been very different.
Report news, according to facts not according to your preconceived ideas of certain people or a community.
The BBC decides to showcase the names and faces of those killed during the Peshawar attacks. Rightly so every innocent life should have a name, a picture and a story to share to the world to know that a real life was taken unjustly.
But what happened to the names, pictures and stories of over 2000 killed by US drones in Pakistan? Will we get the names, pictures and stories of over 500,000 children killed in Iraq by the sanctions.
Lesley Stahl on U.S. sanctions against Iraq: We have heard that a half million children have died. I mean, that’s more children than died in Hiroshima. And, you know, is the price worth it?
Secretary of State Madeleine Albright: I think this is a very hard choice, but the price–we think the price is worth it.
I guess not. Some lives have more value than others or more ratings. Either way the innocent always get lost.
According to the BBC headline Hamas is picking a fight with Israel and just does not want to stop. BBC spitting out Israeli propaganda once again with tax payer money.

US president Barak Obama condemned the killing of 43 people as “outrageous” after a female bomber attacked on a large crowd receiving food aid in Khar in the region of Bajaur, North-west of Pakistan.
Well at least the feminists will be happy that the bombing was carried out by female and this brings equality in the ranks of the so called ‘terrorists’.
However Obama went to state that he strongly condemns “the outrageous terrorist attack in Khar,” and that “Killing innocent civilians outside a World Food Programme distribution point is an affront to the people of Pakistan, and to all humanity,” he said.
Mr Obama if you’re so concerned about the killing and murder of innocent civilians why have you not condemned and stopped Drone attacks by your own army in Pakistan. To date Drone attacks in Pakistan has murdered over 2000 innocent women, children and elderly people.
U.S. airstrikes in Pakistan are killing Pakistani civilians, turning public opinion against the government, and U.S. experts say the airstrikes are destabilizing the Pakistani government. Please have the decency to value life for life and halt U.S. airstrikes in Pakistan.
I call Obama a bomber cause those are your bombs.
