Pentagon ready for military intervention

Posted on Updated on

On 28th May 2012, the Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs Gen. Martin Dempsey said: “the Pentagon is ready for the option of military intervention to end the violence in Syria”.

It took them over 16 months to say that, which indicates that the West is afraid of real change in Syria unlike the change of face that occurred in other parts of the Arab world. I say let the people of Syria decide it’s own future. They do not want the solution of Tunisia, Libya, Yemen and Egypt.

That is a tough call. We are spread thin and tired of cleaning up the mess in that part of the world. But can we afford not getting involved? Hind sight is 20/20 and I would hate to look back, after the fact, and then say we should have done something when we had the chance. I must say that I am glad that I am not the one who has to make that choice.

I am sorry TNTbefree but America creates the problems first. My point of the comment was that people should mind their own business and not interfere in each other affairs. America had sent so called terrorsits to Syria under its rendition policy. Syria was an friend before and even now as America and the Europeans have not found anyone to replace Asad with.
